I want to hug you
on Bahia Honda beach or
in Baltimore on an autumn afternoon.
We can hug in Central Park,
or on the glass skywalk
over the Grand Canyon.
It frightens us both,
but I want to hug you there
in snow or spring
or on state lines so
we can be in two places at once,
or four if we’re running west.
I have this feeling,
together we can do anything
and wherever we go,
I want to hug you there.

This makes me imagine the kind of feeling you have for a person that would inspire you to write this. It’s a very tender expression. There’s an airy feel to it as well.
That’s what I felt, and the dude needs a hug. xoxo

Haha. Your comment made me laugh.
Enjoyed the poem, La La!

Your words are a truly beautiful embrace of love…and the hug it brings…is so very longlasting. Your poem was a real joy to touch and consume! Thanks for the light it brought to my day my sister!
Thank you, that is very thoughtful of you to say. Have a wonderful day!
Made me think of the PA Maryland line.
That’s what I was going for!
That area brings back so many memories.
My first thought … “That was written by someone in love.”
