1 Corinthians 13:14-32

4 Nov

This goes out to all who have found true love, an eternal flame–the fortunate few who deeply and completely understand love at its very core. Thank you for reading.

swans

Love is patient, love is kind,
it does not envy,
it protects, trusts and hopes
and all that jazz,
but mostly it requires a sense of humor–

like for when a dude watches you
put on pantyhose
or when your lady hears
you burping and peeing simultaneously.

Love is snoring,
endless sports and shows like Deadliest Catch.
It is killing spiders, boob sweat
and listening to her cry
when even she does not know
why it is happening.

Love perseveres,
and it will always find a way,
especially when we all practice
fart management.

    So romantic. 😉
    Really, though… Brought a smile… And a snort.

I read this out loud to my cat. He wept, then I cried, and now he’s holding me.

This brought me to my knees. Defeat. I surrender to love. Your eyes, by the way.

Oh La La you are the new born bard in sensible heels. Love rolls off thine young tongue, like a most brilliant skee ball on the hand of an ancient muse.

Your prose is eloquent and astute, wishing only to add to the syphilis of Mozart. You cut to the heart of the matter. But somehow leaving the reader gasping before clapping and collapsing completely.

I rise as one staff before your eloquence before I am completely cut down.

I bow before your most wonderfully WOW body. And most of this is kind of based on autocorrect. Funny how it makes sense.

        But I still loves you!!!!!

Ha, ha, ha. Very true. My favorite part was *listening to her cry when even she does not know why it is happening.* It’s also great how when I’m with my dude, humor includes our own little inside jokes that no one else gets. Happy, happy for you Miss La La.

Aw yay! Gotta love the little inside jokes. Oh, the tears though. They do happen and I do not like them.

As women, tears just happen. Sometimes I try to dig for a reason, but I don’t always find one. It is what it is. BTW, if you get a chance, check out my Gum Girl blog. Reminded me of something that you might blog about.

That says it all, seeing each other at their most open and vulnerable (and farty) and still loving each other. Beautiful poem. 🙂
